Why I'm Running

Meet Candidate

I'm currently the State Senate in the Illinois 43rd District. I ran because working families need a strong voice pushing policies that help the middle and working class. I get it, we are all in this together. However, our political system currently works for the wealthy few and not the majority. It doesn't have to be this way. I believe government should work for EVERYONE! I will fight for economic justice and help close the wealth gap. I will vote on policies that strengthen the middle class, create jobs, invest in our infrastructure, provide renewable energy, and eliminate emissions and pollutions that harm our planet.

Rachel Ventura never accepts Corporate Pac Donations! A Government of, by and for the People! My tagline has been, "no strings attached," because I wanted people to know that my vote is never for sale and that I will be a voice for them. That together we can form a government that works for everyone. That's why I never take any Corporate PAC donations.

Where I Stand On

The Issues

I'm fighting to restore justice to our communities; whether that's environmental, economic, or racial justice. I support developments that pay a living wage, are environmentally friendly, and invest back into the community - not those that will siphon out wealth and exploit our workers and planet.

It is often described as the "Crossroads of America" because of its concentration of highways, railroads, and freight infrastructure.
